We were very excited
Jakob in our class won a competition to have Joy Cowley come visit our school. Yeah!
We were very excited to have the wonderful Joy Cowley Visit us today. She read us a story and told us a few stories which she knew in her head. We drew pictures of our favourite Joy Cowley characters to show her.

Happy Feet...Live!
Happy Feet...Live!
Check out this live stream to Happy Feet the penguin. The stream says: "Most of the time this picture will be black and white, as we are using an infrared light and camera. This is because the penguin is actually kept in darkness to simulate current conditions in Antarctica, where it is constant night during winter."
Check throughout the day for fresh snow being brought in and feeding times.

I wonder how far Happy Feet has travelled? I wonder what he has seen? I wonder what he is feeling?

I really love this story about the Emperor Penguin.
Take a look at this link which shows a video of the penguin landing on Kapiti beach.
Can you imagine how far it must have travelled!!
Lets investigate!
