Our chickens are 1 week old!

We have come up with some names for our chickens now that they are a week old. 

Introducing:

Fluffy

Cluckington

Nefra

Sparkles

And Chicken little.

We all got to hold the chicks today before we went to lunch. We were very gentle with them and then made sure we washed our hands before we ate.

Kiwi's eggs are starting to hatch!

Yesterday we noticed some little cracks in our eggs. We sat very quietly and could hear the chicks chirping in their eggs. It was very exciting and this morning we rushed to check the incubator. We have had 2 eggs hatch overnight and 2 more chicks hatched out this morning. Nearly all the other classes came in to visit our new babies! I wonder how many more we will have hatched out in the morning.

Beautiful sunny Tuesday.

We had a very busy day today. Amongst our classroom learning we also had senior singing, more life cycle work, some of us went on the dental bus, we had another butterfly hatch and fly away, our bean sprouts had grown AND our grassy head have got grass!! Wow we have been busy. We have produced 12 more paper bricks and shared some of our amazing writing stories. Now we are waiting for our eggs to hatch. Here are some photos from today.
